Writing Fellows

Welcome to Writing Fellows, a service provided by the Schoolcraft College Learning Assistance Center.

Writing Fellows is located in the Learning Assistance Center (LAC) at the Bradner Library on the Livonia Campus.

Writing Fellows can…
  • Preview written assignments varying from lab reports to lengthy research papers
  • Help students with organization, structure, style of writing
  • Assist students with grammar and mechanics as they relate to their writing
  • Provide an opportunity for revision and refinement of structure and content
  • Offer a fresh, objective set of eyes to check for clarity and conciseness.

During the Winter 2010 term, Writing Fellows are available 42 hours per week; however, hours may vary. It is recommended that students call the LAC (734) 462-4436 to confirm a Fellow is available.

Winter Schedule:

  • Monday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Tuesday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Thursday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Friday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Saturday 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Spring Break Notice: Writing Fellows will be closed from Saturday, February 27 through Friday, March 6, 2010.

Online assistance is also available, and a three-day turnaround is requested.

Schoolcraft students may get assistance online.
