The 59th Annual Schoolcraft College Commencement Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.

Important Information for Graduates:
- Arrive at the east entrance of the Physical Education Building one hour before ceremony start time wearing cap, gown, and tassel.
- Students are encouraged to park in the East parking lot behind the Biomedical Technology Center (BTC)
- Volunteers will be there to help guide you to the holding area
Important Information for Guests:
- Each guest must present a ticket for entry. Tickets were distributed to your graduate during Grad Fair Days. No exceptions.
- You can find parking in the South Parking Lot (view campus map). Please enter through the main entrance of ESC.
- Doors open at noon for guests. Commencement begins promptly at 1:00 p.m.
- There will be vendors in the lobby of ESC before and after commencement to purchase items for your graduates.
- The Elite Market and Smoothie Bar in ESC will be open at 12 p.m. and will have beverages and light snacks for sale. Please note that all transactions are cashless.
Photography
For the Saturday ceremony, there will be a professional photographer present to take each graduate’s picture. Graduates have the option of purchasing these photos. There will be a DVD of the ceremony available for sale in the Livonia bookstore for $20 one week after the Commencement.
Graduation FAQ
I’m a graduate. Where do I enter and park on ceremony day?
Please park in the East Parking lot behind the Biomedical Technology Center. Students will check-in using the East door of the Physical Education building (The Fitness Center entrance). No guests will be allowed through this entrance.
Is the document I receive my actual diploma?
No, this is not your actual diploma. The Records Office has to audit all graduates before diplomas can be mailed.
How do I get photographs of graduation?
You will receive a proof postcard in the mail within 2 weeks of the ceremony. Students are under no obligation to place an order.
Students who provide an email on their photography card will receive an email containing a link to their pictures within 48 hours of the commencement ceremony.

Will there be flower bouquets for sale?
Yes, a vendor will be set up to sell flowers before and during the ceremony.
Will there be a place to leave my things, like a purse or coat?
No. There is nowhere to safely leave personal items.
How long is the ceremony?
Approximately an hour and a half.
What if I need help as a special needs graduate?
Any graduate needing special seating due to a special need such as a wheelchair or walker should contact the Records Office at 734-462-4677.
If my family wants to watch virtually, how do they view the ceremony?

How many guests can I bring?
You will be allowed to bring four (4) guests maximum. Guests must present tickets that are given during Grad Fair Days when you pick up your regalia. No additional tickets for additional guests will be available. No exceptions.
