Co-Curricular Assessment
Co-curricular Assessment can be defined as the evaluation of activities outside of the classroom that complement in-class learning, and that align with one or more of the eight Core Abilities. Examples of such activities include Student Services areas such as Student Activities Office and Career Services, and Instructional Services such as the Center for Experiential Learning and Honors Scholars Program.
Using the college’s CASE method, various artifacts are collected to evaluate student learning and identify ways to strengthen programmatic processes to enhance student outcomes. Rubrics adapted from the curricular assessment process are used to assess co-curricular learning.
