Outcome Data – Student Graduation Rates (Associate Degree Program)
Student Graduation Rates
|Cohort Year||Fall 2018 Cohort*||Fall 2019 Cohort|
|Culinary Arts Associate Degree (AAS.00087 & AAS.00400)|
Graduation Rate (within 3 years, which is 150% time to completion for a 2-year degree)
|Base size (fall, first-time, full-time students in culinary)||41||51|
*This cohort was impacted by the COVID pandemic
Data Source: Research and Analytics Query/Calculation (based on federal fall enrollment work-file)
Notes about methodology: In the absence of a definition or approach provided by the ACF, Research and Analytics opted to use the IPEDS Graduation Rate methodology as it is a federal standard for all colleges. As such, these numbers only include first-time, full-time students who started in the fall semester with a culinary/pre-culinary associate degree program code. IPEDS federal government requires graduation rates to be calculated based on students completing a program within 150% of normal program time – which is 3 years for a 2-year associate degree.
It is important to understand that these percentages do not reflect part-time students, students who previously completed college credits (non-first time) or students who started their education at Schoolcraft as a first-time student in the winter term instead of the fall. Furthermore, keep in mind that some students who began in the culinary associate degree program went on to successfully complete a Schoolcraft credential in another program area (business, liberal arts, etc.).
Outcome Data – Job Placement Rates (Associate Degree Program Only)
Job Placement Rates

|Employee survey respondents||27||9|
This data is obtained from an annual Graduate Follow-Up Survey conducted six months following graduation and indicates the percent of ALL graduates working in a field related to their program at Schoolcraft. Note that many programs have small sample sizes due to a 30% response to the survey.

Data source: Research and Analytics Query/Calculation (using ODS Student Academic Credentials table)
