Funding Opportunities
The Mark L. Whitfield Veterans & Military Services Center is proud to offer additional support to our military affiliated students who need short-term emergency financial assistance. These funds have been generously donated to the center to provide short-term aid for situations that may be a barrier to a student’s education.
To be eligible for this emergency assistance, the student must meet the following criteria:
- Be currently enrolled as a student at Schoolcraft College.
- Have completed 6 credit hours at Schoolcraft College
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Present proof of active military service, honorable to general discharge, or proof of benefits under the Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance program (Chapter 35).
- Demonstrate financial need that is a barrier to education (Examples: Car repairs that may prevent you from getting to class, school supplies, food costs, utility bills, childcare, interview attire, etc.).
- Application process will require a meeting with a representative from the Veterans Resource Center.
- Awards will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
