Apply for the 2022-23 FAFSA
The new 2022-23 FAFSA application is available beginning October 1, 2022. Please do not hesitate to apply and get ahead of the curve for the next Fall semester. Awarding will begin early 2023. You can also download the MyStudentAid mobile app to apply as well.

Important Update: As of July 13th, 2021 per the Department of Education, students selected for Verification Group 1 (V1) are no longer required to submit the requested documentation for this process. The Department of Education is focusing this award year’s effort strictly on identity and fraud. Students selected for Verification Groups V4 & V5 are still required to submit the requested documentation. Any documents submitted for this process will not be retained by the Office of Financial Aid.
Apply for the CARES 3 Grant (Fall 2022 Only)
Schoolcraft College is now accepting applications for CARES 3 Grant funding to support enrolled and previous enrolled (Since March 2020) students who have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. This emergency grant is funded by the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) by the American Rescue Plan Act 2021 which was signed into law on March 11, 2021.
Grant Overview
- Awards will range from $800 – $1500 per semester
- The grant funds will be awarded based on responses in the application
- Students only need to submit one (1) CARES III application for multiple semesters
- Award continuation will depend on utilization and availability of funds
- Grant will be awarded after confirmation of attendance for the semester
This grant is intended to help students with expenses that may impact their ability to complete their course(s). Applicants will be required to certify that they have coronavirus related financial need for education costs or emergency costs.

Eligibility Requirements
Enrollment in a past and/or current semester beginning March 2020 (minimum 1 credit)
2023-2024 FAFSA Available October 1, 2022
You can file the 2023-24 FAFSA October 1, 2022- June 30, 2024. Schoolcraft will start processing and awarding 2023-24 FAFSA’s beginning in early March 2023.
