Important Update: As of January 9th, 2019 per the Department of Education, students and parents may now submit a signed copy of the 2017 income tax return for the 2019/20 FAFSA, if needed, to verify tax return information. Families can still submit IRS Tax Return Transcripts or use the IRS Data Retrieval tool on FAFSA. For additional information, please visit Announcements & Events.

A college education is one of the most important investments anyone can make. Schoolcraft College understands that students often need help to finance their education.
Financial aid programs can provide students with options that may assist them in meeting educational expenses and achieving their educational goals.
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
To apply for federal, state, and institutional financial aid, you need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completing the FAFSA is free, easy to complete, and gives you access to the largest sources of financial aid to pay for college. Be sure to include the Schoolcraft College School Code of 002315 so we get your information.

Scholarships are a great way to help pay for college. Schoolcraft College has both merit-based scholarships and need-based scholarships. Some scholarship applications require that the student has also completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA.) Complete your scholarship application profile and apply for scholarships today.

Direct Loans for Schoolcraft College students are processed by the Department of Education. Students must fill out a FAFSA, complete the Verification Process and submit a loan request to the Office of Financial Aid. Student loans are not automatically awarded with your initial award letter.

How will I be notified?
The Office of Financial Aid will notify you thru your Schoolcraft College email address regarding your application status. You can review your application status and receive your award letter from the Financial Aid menu on WebAdvisor.
Contact the Office of Financial Aid regarding any questions regarding the financial aid process. Inform our office of any changes in circumstances. You may qualify for a re-evaluation of your financial aid information.

It is important to note that along with the benefits that financial aid offers, there are rights and responsibilities for the recipients. Students need to review the basic rights and responsibilities of financial aid, as well as those that are specific to any type of aid you receive.
