Student Identification (ID) Verification
As part of the admissions and enrollment process, new and returning students may be requested to provide a recognized government-issued photo ID to verify their identity. Schoolcraft College requires identity verification for several reasons, including but not limited to complying with U.S. Department of Education requirements to prevent financial aid fraud; ensuring compliance with the College’s accrediting agencies to confirm that the student who registers for a course is the one who takes the course; and protecting the privacy of student educational records. Students have an ongoing obligation to provide proof of identity when requested by the College. Failure to provide the requested photo ID and verify your identity in a timely manner may result in the suspension of your admissions process and could affect the awarding of financial aid.Acceptable forms of government-issued photo identification (ID).All documentation must be current, valid, and legible.
