Physical Education Building Athletic Rental Spaces
Are athletic spaces in the Physical Education Building available to rent?
Yes, the gymnasium, racquetball / wallyball courts, swimming pool, and multi-sport outdoor fields are available to rent. For more information about rentals and availability, please contact Schoolcraft College Conference and Event Services at 734-462-4610 or [email protected].
What is the cancellation policy?
Should cancellation of your event become necessary, through no fault of Schoolcraft College:
0-14 calendar days before your event, you will be responsible for 100% of the room rental fees, 100% of the food and beverage costs and any costs incurred by the College for the event.
31-60 calendar days before your event, you will forfeit your deposit (50% of room rental).
15-30 calendar days before your event, you will be responsible for 100% of the room rental fees and any costs incurred by the College for the event.
What is the deadline for rental contract changes and revisions?
Final food selections, guaranteed final headcount, media and/or room set-up requests are required at least fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the event.
Can we bring outside food?
Outside food is not permitted inside the Physical Education Building. Ocelot Market, near the entrance to the Fitness Center, offers grab and go items for purchase during Fitness Center operating hours. Catering, through Schoolcraft College Culinary Operations, is also available for consumption on premises during scheduled events and subject to minimum order volumes. No food is permitted in the gymnasium, courts, or swimming pool.
What sports/activities can be hosted at the Physical Education Building?
We have hosted numerous tournaments, practices, tryouts and matches. Activities include but are not limited to: Aerobics, basketball, dance, gymnastics, pickleball, racquetball, swimming, volleyball, wallyball, and yoga. Please reach out to us for your scheduling needs!
What type of shoes can I wear inside the Physical Education Building?
Tennis and court shoes are appropriate for the Physical Education Building. Cleats are not permitted.
Is parking available?
Ample free parking is available throughout Schoolcraft College’s campus.
Are pets allowed?
No animals are allowed inside the Physical Education Building. Only trained service animals are permitted.
Is Schoolcraft College a smoke-free campus?
Yes. Use of all tobacco products and electronic cigarettes is prohibited in all campus buildings, sidewalks, building entrances, common areas, and college-owned vehicles.
