3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse (3WBRC)
This course is designed for someone who has little or no experience operating a three-wheel motorcycle, and it focuses on the development of basic riding skills: Clutch and Throttle Coordination, Straight-line Riding, Braking, Turning, and Shifting.
Can-Am Ryker training motorcycles are provided. Privately owned motorcycles are NOT permitted. Sharing may be required.
There are approximately 14 hours of instruction – 5 hours of online preparation to be completed prior to your class start date and 9 hours of hands-on training, activities, evaluation, and testing.
This course provides a fast track to motorcycle endorsement (CY) with 3-wheel restriction. Successful completion allows a student to waive the written knowledge test and riding-skill test, which would otherwise be administered by the Secretary of State and a third-party testing agency, respectively.
Registration can be done online at www.schoolcraft.edu/ocelotaccess, by mail, or in-person at the McDowell Student Center on Schoolcraft’s Main Campus in Livonia. To secure your spot in the course, we recommend online or in-person registration as they are processed immediately.
