Cost of Attendance for Financial Aid
The cost of attendance (COA) amounts is estimated averages of costs for an academic year. The purpose of this budget is the determination of financial aid eligibility. The cost of attendance is not a bill. It is an estimate of tuition, fees, books and supplies, housing and food, transportation costs and modest personal expenditures. Actual tuition and fee rates are published on the Tuition and Fees website area.

Beginning with the 2024-25 academic year, federal regulations require us to make assumptions on your living situation for the Food and Housing component. Schoolcraft makes the following assumptions:
- Dependent students – live with parent(s)
- Independent students – don’t live with parent(s) – off campus.
If this assumption is not correct, and we’ve received your current year FAFSA, you can update your selection by logging into Ocelot Access > View My Financial Aid.
If you make an incorrect selection, you can submit the Cost of Attendance Adjustment Form and choose the applicable box. Once that request is processed, your selection will be removed, and you can then make a new selection. These assumptions will only impact your award if your total financial aid awarded has exceeded your COA.
