How to Register

The first step in starting your Schoolcraft educational experience is to register for your preferred classes or programs. You can register online up until the day before a class starts – or in person the same day – but there’s always a chance the class can get too full. To avoid missing an opportunity, get your registration in early using one of our three available options.

Online Registration

You can easily manage your registration and payments online through  WebAdvisor 
Online registration is strongly recommended.

Note the online hours for WebAdvisor:
Monday – Saturday: 2:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Sunday: 2:00 AM – 9:00 PM

3 Wheel Basic RiderCourse Students

Students who wish to register for the 3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse as part of Can-Am's Rider Education must register on the Can-Am website directly. Google Chrome is the recommended browser.

Register

Registrations cannot be completed through Schoolcraft College.

UAW Ford Employees

Ford-logos-groupedUAW Ford employees wishing to use their tuition voucher for online classes must register at uawford.org/eec.

Do not register through Schoolcraft College or you will be unable to use your tuition voucher.

Walk-In Registration

We always welcome walk-in registrations at our Registration Center, located in the McDowell Center on our Livonia Campus. Simply bring your completed registration form to get started and remember that course fees are due in full at the time of registration. We accept a full range of payment options, including cash, check, money orders, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and debit cards. If you need assistance, one of our knowledgeable staff members will be ready to answer all of your questions.

Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Mail-In Registration

If your time is limited or you aren’t comfortable with using online registration, we’re happy to process your registration and payment by mail. Please note: Processing of mail-in registrations begins at 8:00am on the first day of registration. Early receipt of mail-in registration does not guarantee placement in the desired classes.

We also have drop boxes available for your convenience located at the McDowell Center on the Livonia campus and at Radcliff Center.

If you are paying by credit card, please don’t forget to include payment and sign the registration form. To ensure your registration is complete before the start of class, be sure we receive your registration form and payment at least a week before the class start date. Mail-in registrations and those placed in the drop boxes are processed on the day that registration opens, in the order in which they were received.  If you are registering for a class that fills quickly, we do not recommend these methods.

Required Information for First Time Registration

When entering your personal identification information, you are required to input your exact Social Security number (SSN) for the purpose of creating a unique record. If you do not wish to do this online, please utilize the McDowell Center drop box or mail in your registration for the first time. Do not provide partial or false Social Security numbers.

While we understand—and share with you—the need to safeguard your identity, we also want you to know we ask for your full SSN only the first time you set up your student record. After that, when registering online, use your student ID number and password to authenticate your identity (see Current or Returning Students).

Registering Children

If you are signing up your child for classes, you must enter your child’s personal information when registering. Please do not use your information in lieu of your child’s.

Changes to Student Contact Information

Changes to address or phone number(s) can be made through the student’s We¬≠bAdvisor account by clicking on the “View My Account” link in the Student Menu. CEPD students may also update their contact information by completing the top portion of the CEPD Registration/Admission Form. Name change requests must be processed with required documentation through the Registration/Answer Center. Questions relating to name change requests should be directed to the Answer Center 734-462-4426.

Senior Adult Tuition Policy

In order to receive senior adult status, persons sixty (60) years of age or older must verify their age (using a birth certificate, driver’s license, or other legal documents) with the Registration Center (main campus) at the time of registration or prior to the start of the class in order to receive the senior rate. No rate adjustments will be made after a class has started. Senior status requests with supporting documentation may be emailed to registration@schoolcraft.edu, faxed to 734-462-4553, mailed or submitted to the Registration drop box.

Cancellations or Class Changes

Schoolcraft College reserves the right to cancel any class that does not receive a minimum number of registrations; students will be contacted by phone and may select another class or request a full refund. The college may also change the day, time of day, class location or instructor.

Dropping a Class and Refund Policy

You can drop a class for a full refund up to the day before the first class meets through WebAdvisor online or by written request.

The refund policy is:

  • Through the day before the first class meets: 100 percent of class fees
  • Thereafter, no refund
  • No refund or transfers for motorcycle classes

Online requests:

  • Log in to your account at https://webadvisor.schoolcraft.edu.
  • On the left menu select Continuing Education (Non-Credit).
  • Under Registration, click Register and Drop Classes.
  • Check the box next to the class you want to drop and click Submit.

Walk-in registration services are not encouraged at this time, but are available if absolutely necessary due to special circumstances.

Written requests for refunds must be initiated by the student and can be submit­ted to the Registration Center in the McDowell Center by mail, using the outside drop box, or by emailing registration@schoolcraft.edu. Processing times for mail and drop-off may be extended due to COVID-19. The request must contain the following:

  • Student name.
  • Student ID number.
  • Class number, section number.
  • A brief statement requesting the refund, signature and date.

Credit card payments will be credited to the last account used for payment. All other refunds will be issued to the student by check and mailed to the student’s address on record, or by direct deposit. See Bank InfoDirect Deposit under the My Account heading in the WebAdvisor Students menu to select the direct deposit refund option.
