With generous support from the Mellon Foundation and LSA Transfer Bridges to the Humanities Program (TB2H) at the University of Michigan, The Center for Experiential Learning (CEL) provides quality experiential learning opportunities in an inclusive environment. CEL promotes collaboration between students, faculty, community, university, and employer partners. With the support of on and off campus partners, students apply theory to practice through transformative, high-impact, academic and service-learning opportunities. CEL supports our students’ immersive learning experience facilitating the skills and abilities necessary to contribute to our global community and workforce.
At Schoolcraft College, The Center for Experiential Learning serves as a hub for experiential support immersing our students in real-world learning. CEL provides scholarship and fellowship programs such as Schoolcraft Scholars Honors Program and Social Impact Fellows. Through CEL, we sponsor, co-sponsor, and support applicable workshops, expert lectures, conferences, and special events through LSA Transfer Bridges, STEAMz, and the International Institute (SCII).
CEL also provides opportunities to present, attend, and participate in conferences and special on and off campus events. We provide multiple opportunities to apply for fellowship and internship programs available in undergraduate research, volunteering, fieldwork, and other exciting opportunities available through the University of Michigan, Campus Compact, and more.
