The Corewell Health RN Scholarship Program provides $8,500 per recipient, as well as a guaranteed job placement at Corewell Health facility in Southeast Michigan for two years after graduation. Corewell Health is the new name for Beaumont.
The Corewell Health RN Scholarship is awarded twice per year for fall and winter second year students. Deadlines are mid-July and mid-Oct.
How do I become a Corewell Health RN Scholarship recipient?
If you are a Schoolcraft College nursing student about to enter your second year of the RN program, you are eligible to apply. Go to Scholarship Universe and apply.

How does the scholarship work?
Each student selected will receive up to $8,500 in scholarship funding distributed to the student’s College account to use for tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses during the second year of the RN nursing program.
Students receiving the scholarship must commit to work at a Corewell Health facility in Southeast Michigan within thirty (30) days of graduation, take and pass the NCLEX examination for licensure within sixty (60) days of graduation, and stay employed for the entire two-year period within the organization setting.
Students who receive the scholarship but do not complete the nursing program, or do not work as a registered nurse at a Corewell Health facility in Southeast Michigan for two consecutive years immediately post-graduation, will need to repay the scholarship.

Who qualifies for the Corewell Health RN Scholarship Program?
FAFSA is not required to qualify for scholarship. Decisions are based on students’ application to Scholarship University. All students admitted to Schoolcraft’s RN program must meet the scholarship criteria and commit to working at Corewell Health as a registered nurse for two consecutive years after completing the nursing program may be considered.
When is the deadline to apply for a Corewell Health RN Scholarship?
Deadlines for application for Corewell Health RN Scholarship happen twice per year in July and Oct. Students will be notified if they have been selected as a recipient before their second year starts.
If a student lives in Wayne County, will they be required to work at a Corewell Health hospital not in their home county?
Corewell Health will partner with students to ensure the best placement post-graduation.
Will students be required to be employed at a Corewell Health hospital for two consecutive years?
Yes, this is the requirement for all students that accept the Corewell Health RN Scholarship.
Once graduated, will students be required to work full-time at a Corewell Health hospital?
Yes, full-time status of 36 hours per week will be required. Students must be eligible for employment in the United States at the time the grant is received.
What shift will students be required to work?
It varies depending on the hospital. Shifts may include days, midnights, afternoons, and weekends.
Will students receive a sign-on bonus and other incentives if they sign up for this program?
If there are extra incentives (e.g., a sign-on bonus) at Corewell Health for open positions when students graduate, yes, students will remain eligible for those other incentives.
