Follow the steps below to apply for admission to transfer in and become a Schoolcraft College student.

Applying for admission is the first step toward enrolling in college as a new student. Complete our online form to apply. You will need to create a new account to save your application.
Provide Additional Information
Students who have special circumstances may have to provide additional information or documentation along with their application. If you fit any additional student types, please ensure you review and follow their admissions steps too.
Additional student types include:
- Guest students
- High school dual enrolled students
- International students (including Canadian citizens)
- Re-admission of former students
- Selective admissions (Limited and Restricted Enrollment Programs)
- Veteran students
Submit Your Transcripts
Transcripts are required to complete the application process. Electronic requests are the fastest and easiest way submit transcripts.
Request your high school transcripts be sent electronically after completing your first semester of your senior year of high school, or after your final semester of high school if you have already graduated. The quickest and easiest way to have your high school transcripts sent to us is through the Parchment Exchange. The same process applies to GED scores.
You may submit a student copy of your college transcripts in order to be admitted. Official transcripts must be sent directly from the transfer institution to Schoolcraft College for review of courses that may be used toward your degree.
Submit Your Test Scores
Submit SAT/ACT Scores if taken within the last three years. Request your scores be sent to Schoolcraft College (SAT Code 1764, ACT code 2070) or upload scores in your Schoolcraft My Account under supplemental items.
Alternatively, you can take placement tests in the Schoolcraft Testing Center. Testing is offered on a walk-in basis during regular hours. Allow approximately 2-1/2 hours to complete testing. Photo identification is required at the time of testing.
Students who plan to transfer credits to Schoolcraft College from another institution should meet with an academic advisor before taking placement tests.
Congratulations! Once you have applied and provided transcripts and test scores, you will be admitted to Schoolcraft College and ready to take the next steps to be an enrolled student.
Your Schoolcraft ID will be included in your acceptance email. You will need your Schoolcraft ID number throughout the enrollment and registration processes, and for nearly every process and activity while you are a student at Schoolcraft.

Login to your SCmail Account
Upon acceptance to Schoolcraft College, you have been assigned a SCmail account. Your SCmail account is the primary communication tool Schoolcraft College will use to communicate with you. We recommend checking your SCmail account at least twice a week.
To set-up your SCmail account, click on the below SCmail link. Choose Login Information, listed under SCmail Help, which will guide you through setting up your account. You will need your Schoolcraft ID that was sent to you in your acceptance email.
Meet with an Academic Advisor
Explore your academic options, create an educational plan and select your classes. First- time Schoolcraft students are required to meet with an academic advisor or counselor.
Attend New Student Orientation
All first-time college students are required to complete orientation before registering for classes.
Register for Classes
Register for classes using Ocelot Access or the Schoolcraft College Mobile App. In Ocelot Access you will also find important dates, academic planning tools, student financial services and other helpful links and resources.
