Strategic Plan

Schoolcraft College is in the process of developing its Strategic Plan for 2021-26. The Strategic Plan will contain identified goals and objectives that align with the College’s Mission, Vision, Core Values and Higher Learning Commission (HLC) accreditation efforts and quality initiatives.

Strategic Planning Committee

Guiding the process is the Strategic Planning Committee, which will develop the plan in collaboration with College stakeholders and members of the surrounding communities. The Strategic Plan will be presented to the Board of Trustees in June 2021 ahead of the College’s fiscal year, which begins on July 1.

Sub-Committees

To help ensure smooth workflow and attention to detail, four sub-committees have been formed. They are:

College Portfolio Review Sub-Committee

The College Portfolio Review Sub-Committee is responsible for conducting a high-level internal review of the College’s portfolio of academic, CEPD, and service offerings and putting forth recommendations to the Strategic Planning Committee on the sustainability, viability, and popularity of existing offerings.

Environmental Scan Update Sub-Committee

The Environmental Scan Update Sub-Committee will work toward creating an environmental scan of the College’s service districts. Tools such as listening sessions data will help inform this group.

Listening Group Session Planning Sub-Committee

The Listening Group Session Planning Sub-Committee is responsible for the planning of the listening sessions. Responsibilities include identifying the segments and invitation methods to participate in the listening sessions, identifying the areas that need to be addressed within each segment and drafting the appropriate questions to be addressed.

Mission/Visions/Values Review Sub-Committee

The Mission/Visions/Values Review Sub-Committee is responsible for reviewing the College’s current Mission, Vision, and Value statements to ensure they are still relevant and appropriate for Schoolcraft College.
