Are you preparing for the PMP® or CAPM® exam? Or looking for valuable project management skills? Gain essential knowledge about project management to deliver results for your stakeholders. Topics include management of integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, and procurement. Get tools and techniques for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects. Do group practice exercises and discuss exam preparation questions. This course targets those that have project team experience, as well as project managers seeking to refresh their knowledge and complement skill sets.
According to a 2007 PricewaterhouseCoopers survey, 80% of high-performing projects use a credentialed project manager. Make sure you’re one of them by earning a PMI certification.
PMP® Examination Process
The PMP® exam is offered as a computer-based test through the global network of Prometric testing centers. The exam consists of 200 multiple choice questions. 25 are pre-release questions, which are not included in exam scoring. The score is calculated based on the other 175 questions.
Candidates who take the computer-based test receive their results (passed or not passed) immediately upon completion. PMI also evaluates proficiency levels in each project management process group from high proficiency to low proficiency in a score report which the candidates receive after the examination.
Prerequisites to be Eligible for the PMP® Examination
Candidates must verify a high school diploma or an associate’s degree with 60 months (7,500 hours) of project management experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 36 months (4,500 hours) of project management experience. In both cases candidates must also have 35 contact hours of project management education. The application for the exam and verification of education and experience are done online at the PMI website.
