Workforce Intelligence Network (WIN)
The Workforce Intelligence Network (WIN) cultivates a cohesive talent system by facilitating data-driven workforce solutions to ensure responsiveness to changing labor market demands. The WIN Board of Directors includes representatives from nine community colleges and seven Michigan Works! agencies within Southeast Michigan.
By working together these organizations are building lifelong career pathways and stackable credentials dedicated to providing real-time labor market insights, workforce development strategies, and collaborative solutions that strengthen Southeast Michigan’s talent pipeline. WIN aims to align workforce supply with industry demand, ensuring economic growth and opportunity for all.
Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME)
Schoolcraft College is part of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Manufacturing Imperative—Workforce Pipeline Challenge (MI-WPC), a national initiative led by SME that unites 25 colleges across 17 states to close the manufacturing skills gap and strengthen the future workforce. Together, we’re preparing students for high-demand careers in manufacturing while giving employers access to the skilled talent they need to grow.
Michigan Alliance for Greater Mobility Advancement (MAGMA)
The Michigan Alliance for Greater Mobility Advancement (MAGMA) is a consortium that includes original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), tier suppliers, educational institutions, workforce organizations, and state government, whose goal is to address the automotive industry’s skills and training needs, particularly around mobility solutions, connected, and automated vehicles (CAV).
Health Careers Alliance (HCA)
The Health Careers Alliance for Southeast Michigan (HCA) is an employer-led healthcare collaborative with 39 employers of major healthcare systems in Michigan, including regional and multi-state healthcare systems, as well as many urban and rural healthcare employers providing various types and levels of care. The collaborative also convenes 20 workforce agencies and state government, as well as 19 institutes of higher education and k12 school districts.
Wayne RESA
Program Advisory Committee (PAC) General Aviation/Drones Wayne RESA, in partnership with Wayne County and the Wayne County Airport Authority, is developing an exciting new Aviation and Aeronautics Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program. This innovative countywide initiative is designed to introduce middle and high school students—especially those underrepresented in STEM fields—to high-demand careers in aviation, from piloting and aircraft maintenance to autonomous systems and beyond.
Advance Michigan Center for Apprenticeship Innovation (AMCAI)
The Advance Michigan Center for Apprenticeship Innovation (AMCAI) has been building apprenticeships in Southeast, Michigan since 2015. In 2020, a $4 million U.S. Department of Labor Closing The Skills Gap grant aimed to increase apprenticeships for Advanced Manufacturing in Southeast Michigan from 2020-2025.
