SC Safe App
The college has a new way to receive and report safety alerts across campus. Named SC Safe, this app can send important alerts right to your phone, as well as provide access to many public safety resources. This app is a two-way communication portal: In addition to push notifications sent to your phone in emergencies from campus authorities, the app also allows users to submit an SC Aware report or submit a tip to the Schoolcraft College Police Department.
Crucial information in what to do during an emergency can also be found in the app. From flooding to medical emergencies, the app has a plethora of information worth reading in case of an emergency.
The app is available for free in the Apple App Store and on Google Play, click on the links or search for Schoolcraft Safe. I encourage everyone on campus to download and learn about its offerings. This is just one more step toward making our campus as safe as possible. This is an additional service on top of our current RAVE communications.
