Meet Our Professional Staff
Patty Donohue Ebach, Recreation Manager
Patty has worked in the fitness, health and wellness industry for over 30 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Master of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan. She also has a Master of Science certificate in Complementary Medicine and Wellness from Oakland University.
Patty joined Schoolcraft College as an adjunct faculty member in the College’s Physical Education department in 2005 before transitioning to managing the brand new campus fitness center, which opened in 2012. In 2016, Patty and the recreation staff took on the additional responsibility of operational oversight for the new St. Joe's Sports Dome.
Prior to her coming to Schoolcraft College, Patty worked in the health and fitness industry managing corporate fitness centers and wellness programs in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. She has also consulted for employer-based health screening programs and services.
Jacob Fedewa, Assistant Recreation Manager
Jake has been involved in Campus Recreation for over 8 years helping to manage student fitness and recreation programs and facilities. He completed his Master of Science Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Georgia, and his Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness in Rehabilitative and Preventative Programs from Central Michigan University. Jake is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
Jake joined Schoolcraft College in 2015 where, along with his management responsibilities at the Fitness Center and the new Sports Dome, he also teaches TRX classes for the Continuing Education Department and works with clients as a Personal Trainer in the Fitness Center.
Jake has served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Georgia, and has several years of experience managing and supervising collegiate recreation centers, officiating intramural sports, as well as providing personal training services to members.
Matt Cooper, Assistant Recreation Manager
Matt has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Specialization in Health Promotion from Michigan State University. He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
Matt joined the Schoolcraft College Fitness Center team as an Assistant Recreation Manager in 2016. He currently splits his time between Fitness Center Operations and Sport Dome Operations.
Prior to joining the Schoolcraft Fitness Center, he worked as a Facility Operations Manager and Assistant Fitness Director for the JCC of Metro Detroit.
Walt Stecko, Business Office Manager
Walt has more than 30 years of financial management experience in retail, telecommunications and information technology. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College.
After retiring from AT&T, Walt has been self-employed and served as a consultant to various companies and non-profit organizations.
Walt has been with the Fitness Center since it opened in 2012.
Megan Monthei, Membership Services Specialist
Megan is beginning her career in the health & fitness field here at the Schoolcraft Fitness Center as our Membership Services Specialist. She has responsibility for all administrative, marketing and programming tasks and projects directly related to the member experience in the Fitness Center. Additionally, Megan works as part of the team that helps to ensure smooth operations for recreational activities in both the fitness center and Dome, most namely working with the Legacy Volleyball program.
Megan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, with a concentration in Exercise and Sports Science from Wayne State University. Megan will be pursuing a Master's Degree in Community Health at Wayne State beginning in the Fall of 2018. She she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society here at Schoolcraft College. She is currently completing her ACSM Personal Trainer certification as well.
Cory Kreutzfeld, Fitness and Recreation Specialist
Cory has worked in the fitness industry for over 4 years. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Eastern Michigan University.
Cory joined the Schoolcraft College Fitness Center full-time staff in 2018, but has served as a staple to the Personal Training Program prior to serving as the Fitness and Recreation Specialist. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). His experience includes serving as the Recreation Assistant for the city of Oak Park running group fitness classes and personal training sessions. He is also well known for spending time here at Schoolcraft College as a Lifeguard.
