Synchronous Courses
Synchronous courses include live virtual sessions held at set meeting times via a web conferencing tool (e.g., Zoom). Synchronous courses require students to log in, attend, and participate in live class sessions during the designated term length. Active participation includes fully engaging in live discussions and submitting completed assignments in the course (via the learning management system) by their respective due dates.
Synchronous courses are ideal for students who work better with a regular schedule of class meeting times, have a space with limited to no interruptions during the virtual class sessions, like the consistency of meeting with faculty and classmates.
