Whitfield Veterans &amp; Military Services Center is proud to offer additional support to our military affiliated students who need short-term emergency financial assistance.&nbsp; These funds have been generously donated to the center to provide short-term aid for situations that may be a barrier to a student\u2019s education.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be eligible for this emergency assistance, the student must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be currently enrolled as a student at Schoolcraft College.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have completed 6 credit hours at Schoolcraft College<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a minimum GPA of 2.0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Present proof of active military service, honorable to general discharge, or proof of benefits under the Survivors&#8217; and Dependents&#8217; Educational Assistance program (Chapter 35).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate&nbsp;<strong>financial need<\/strong>&nbsp;that is a barrier to education (Examples: Car repairs that may prevent you from getting to class, school supplies, food costs, utility bills, childcare, interview attire, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application process will require a meeting with a representative from the Veterans Resource Center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Awards will be determined on a case-by-case basis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Funding Opportunities The Mark L.
