Get out there and explore our metal art.
Be inspired by our student’s creativity.
Our Metal Art students weld, cast and create with metal showcasing their talents. Their work has earned a place with Schoolcraft College’s Outdoor Metal Sculptures and part of the self-guided tour.
The Outdoor Metal Sculpture initiative began in 2015 with a vision to increase awareness of outdoor metal art sculptures and to promote the Welding and Art programs. Growing over the years, the Outdoor Art walk is a perfect venue giving the metal art students an opportunity to feature their talent and hard work. By providing outdoor spaces, the project beautifies the campus and creates interaction for staff, community, and visitors through art.
The Outdoor Metal Sculptures initiative has continued to grow, with 14 sculptures now on display. The collaboration and work of our Facilities group, Art Department faculty and students, Liberal Arts & Sciences and Academic Services have all helped create a sustainable art park.
