{"id":313,"date":"2021-10-30T05:28:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-30T05:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stgschoolcraft.wpengine.com\/ppl\/?page_id=313"},"modified":"2025-07-14T18:15:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-14T18:15:12","slug":"pool-and-locker-room-rules","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.schoolcraft.edu\/ppl\/classes-schedules\/aquatics\/pool-and-locker-room-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"Pool and Locker Room Rules"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pool and Locker Room Rules<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pool Deck Rules<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participants are responsible for recognizing their own limitations &amp; acting in\u00a0the best interest of their own safety.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No street shoes on deck.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No spectators on deck \u2010 spectators view classes from balcony.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No running, skipping, hopping or horseplay on deck or in locker rooms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No walking on deck while wearing swim fins.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participants arriving less than ten (10) minutes before class start time must\u00a0wait in locker room or sit quietly on pool deck bench.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participants arriving more than ten (10) minutes before class start time must\u00a0wait in locker room.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participants cannot put feet in pool or enter pool until class start time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participants must shower with soap prior to entering (or re\u2010entering) pool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No pool entry for participants with open wounds, rashes, infectious condi\u2010<br>tions and\/or bandages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If pool becomes contaminated, participants must exit the water immediately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Depending on college\u2010established sanitation procedures, pool may be closed\u00a0for up to 24 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No unauthorized photography allowed at any time, with any device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No food, gum, glass bottles or cans allowed in the pool area or locker rooms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participants must wear clean and proper swim attire. Goggles and swim caps\u00a0are recommended.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No personal belongings allowed in pool area \u2010 use locker in locker room.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Schoolcraft College is not responsible for lost or stolen items.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Children not toilet trained must wear a CDC\u2010approved swim diaper. Change\u00a0diapers in locker room only.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diving permitted in designated areas only as required for classes. Diving is not available during open swim. One person on the diving board at a time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lap Swim: Lane 1 designated for walking &amp; stretching, Lanes 2\u20106 for lap\u00a0swimming.
