breathing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proper backstroke kick with flotation device<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elementary backstroke with a flotation device<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Retrieve an object from 4 \u00bd feet rotation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25 yards breaststroke with proper kick and arm movement, breathing every stroke<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25 yards elementary backstroke, body undulations kick for 12 yards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduction to diving off side of deep end, comfortable swimming in deep end without float<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Intermediate Adult Swim Stroke and Technique<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tread water for 2 minutes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Standing dive in deep end, retrieve an object from 5-7 ft.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50 yards freestyle with proper body position, rotation, kick and arm rotations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50 yards backstroke with proper body position, rotation, kick and arm rotations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50 yards breaststroke with proper kick, arms, coordination and breathng every stroke<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25 yards butterfly with proper body undulations, correct arms and breathing every other stroke<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduction to flip turns and open turns for appropriate stroke<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Youth Swim Skills<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L<\/strong><strong>evel 1 Basic Swim for the Water Shy Youth: Ages 5+<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enter and exit the pool correctly without the ladder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 relaxed bobs (completely under water) with bubbles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blow bubbles into the water through nose only<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Float on front and back relaxed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Float with head in the water and blow bubbles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep head up and have synchronized arm movements out of the water and kick<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jump from side of the shallow end from sitting or standing, not plugging nose<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Retrieve a ring from 1-2 feet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Float and swim head up or down in deep water with device<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Swim 10 yards freestyle with any kind of breathing (in or out of water) independently<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proper backstroke flutter kick with flotation device<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Backstroke introduction with rotating arms and proper kick<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elementary backstroke, unassisted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Retrieve a ring from 4 1\/2ft deep, with unassisted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 lap (25 yards) freestyle with proper flutter kick and arm rotations and alternate breathing, unassisted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 lap (25yd) backstroke with proper flutter
