{"id":29,"date":"2021-10-21T14:39:14","date_gmt":"2021-10-21T14:39:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stgschoolcraft.wpengine.com\/ppl\/?page_id=29"},"modified":"2025-04-02T16:58:51","modified_gmt":"2025-04-02T16:58:51","slug":"dropping-a-class-refunds","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.schoolcraft.edu\/ppl\/how-to-register\/dropping-a-class-refunds\/","title":{"rendered":"Dropping a Class &amp; Refunds"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dropping a Class and Refunds<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>You can drop a class for a full refund up to the day before the first class meets through Ocelot Access online or by written request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The refund policy is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Through the day before the first class meets: 100% of class fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thereafter, no refund<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No refund or transfers for motorcycle classes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To Drop a Class Online with Ocelot Access<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolcraft.edu\/ocelotaccess\">Ocelot Access<\/a> and click the<em>&nbsp;PPL Non-Credit Student<\/em>&nbsp;box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log in to your account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the left menu, select&nbsp;<em>Personal &amp; Professional Learning (Non-Credit)<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under registration, click&nbsp;<em>Register and Drop Classes<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From Under the&nbsp;<em>Action<\/em>&nbsp;drop down menu, select&nbsp;<em>Remove From List<\/em>, then click the box next to the class you want to drop and click&nbsp;<em>Submit<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To Drop a Class via Written Request<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Walk-in registration services are also available at the McDowell Student Center.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Written requests for refunds must be initiated by the student and can be submit\u00adted to the Registration Center in the McDowell Student Center by mail, using the outside drop box, or by emailing&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:registration@schoolcraft.edu\">registration@schoolcraft.edu<\/a>. The request must contain the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Student name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student ID number.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Class number, section number.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A brief statement requesting the refund, signature and date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Refunds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Refunds are processed and issued in the name of the party listed on the registration statement. If a refund is processed within 45 days of payment via credit card, typically the refund will go back to the last card used. Credit card refunds issued after 45 days of payment will be issued via check or direct deposit.
