What is the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)?\u00a0<\/summary>

The Advanced RiderCourse (ARC) is designed for experienced, endorsed motorcyclists to enhance their basic skills and help with personal risk assessment. Interactive classroom activities to improve perception and hazard awareness are combined with range exercises that enhance both basic skills and crash-avoidance skills. You will also learn how to improve braking and cornering finesse and develop consistency the areas of risk-management, decision-making, riding strategies, and rider behavior.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What are the prerequisites of the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)?\u00a0<\/summary>
\n

A motorcycle endorsement, ownership of a motorcycle that is titled, registered, and insured, considerable street-riding miles, and a valid email address on file with the College.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What are the learning activities and methods of evaluation for the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)?<\/summary>

Learning activities include ten riding exercises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no formal method of evaluation for the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Does the College provide training motorcycles for the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)?\u00a0<\/summary>
\n

No; students must provide their own motorcycle. Mopeds are NOT<\/strong> permitted. Three-wheeled motorcycles are NOT<\/strong> permitted. Sharing is NOT<\/strong> permitted. The motorcycle must be titled, registered, insured, and display a valid license plate. Students must provide proof of insurance, and the motorcycle must pass a safety inspection.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How are the instructional hours divided for the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)?\u00a0<\/summary>

Will I obtain my\u00a0motorcycle endorsement<\/a>\u00a0(CY) after taking a Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)?\u00a0<\/summary>

No; the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC) is for only endorsed motorcyclists. Please consider enrolling in our Basic RiderCourse (BRC), Basic RiderCourse 2 (BRC2), or 3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse (3WBRC).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What is the age requirement to take a Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)?\u00a0<\/summary>

Students aged 16-17 are permitted to take the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC) if they have a graduated driver\u2019s license and a motorcycle endorsement (CY); however, a parent or legal guardian must accompany them on the first day of class to sign the course waiver.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What do I need to bring to class for the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)?\u00a0<\/summary>

Where do you offer the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)?\u00a0<\/summary>

We offer the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC) exclusively at the PSTC Driving Pad<\/a> in Livonia.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Why should I take the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)?<\/summary>
\n

This course will provide you with a safe environment to practice and hone your riding skills, enhance your judgment, and collaborate with other riders to perfect your techniques. Most importantly\u2026 it\u2019s a really fun class!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are also the only civilian training sponsor in the entire country to offer an oversized range (240×440) that is double the size of a standard range and specifically reserved for our Advanced RiderCourses (ARC). This range is located at our exclusive, seven-acre, obstruction-free training site, called the PSTC Driving Pad<\/a> in Livonia. What does this mean for you as a student? You will obtain real-world speeds, hone your skills to an even greater extent, and take your riding to the next level!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What motorcycles can be used in the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)?\u00a0<\/summary>
\n

All two-wheeled motorcycles are welcome! Students must provide their own motorcycle. Mopeds are NOT<\/strong> permitted. Three-wheeled motorcycles are NOT<\/strong> permitted. Sharing is NOT<\/strong> permitted. The motorcycle must be titled, registered, and insured; and it must display a valid license plate. Students must provide proof of insurance, and the motorcycle must pass a safety inspection.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What is the policy for walk-in registrations in the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)?<\/summary>

You may attempt a walk-in registration by arriving to class at least fifteen minutes before the scheduled start time. Be prepared to complete registration paperwork, provide payment, and attend all class sessions. Keep in mind that availability is not guaranteed; the number of available walk-in spots is determined by the number of registered students who do not show up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
