Our classes are taught by professional, certified instructors who have not only a passion for riding but riding safety. Our primary goal is to improve the safety of motorcyclists on our roads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our motorcycle-safety courses are conducted with earmarked state funds, funded by motorcyclists, and administered through a motorcycle-safety grant from the Michigan Department of State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;Detroit Metro Motorcycle Safety Consortium&nbsp;currently comprises:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Macomb Community College<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monroe County Community College<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oakland Community College<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Schoolcraft College<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Michigan Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-accordion gb-block-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"gb-accordion-title\">Michigan Rider Education Program (Mi-REP)<\/summary><div class=\"gb-accordion-text\">\n<p>Administering the Michigan Rider Education&nbsp;Program (Mi-REP) is an important aspect of the Michigan Department of State&#8217;s traffic-safety mission. Schoolcraft College&#8217;s Motorcycle Safety Program uses safety standards established by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) to ensure consistent and comprehensive training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The curriculum provides both beginning and experienced motorcyclists with a foundation of good judgment, fundamental skills, and hands-on experience. Our motorcycle-safety courses are conducted with earmarked state funds, funded by motorcyclists, and administered through a motorcycle-safety grant from the Michigan Department of State.<br><br><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/looktwice\" target=\"_blank\">Look Twice. Save a Life.<\/a><br><br>Students who want to obtain a&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/documents\/SOS_OHSP_Motorcycle_Safety_Brochure_157579_7.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">motorcycle endorsement<\/a>&nbsp;(CY) on their driver&#8217;s license should enroll in one of following courses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolcraft.edu\/ppl\/motorcycle\/basic-ridercourse-brc\/\">Basic RiderCourse (BRC) |&nbsp;<em>Beginning Riders<\/em><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolcraft.edu\/ppl\/motorcycle\/basic-ridercourse-2-brc2\/\">Basic RiderCourse 2 (BRC2) |&nbsp;<em>Experienced Riders<\/em><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse (3WBRC) | <strong><em>Check back winter 2027<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Successful completion of the Basic RiderCourse (BRC), Basic RiderCourse 2 (BRC2), or 3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse (3WBRC) results in a certificate that waives the Knowledge Test (K-Test) and Rider Skill Test (RST), which would otherwise be administered by the Secretary of State and a third-party testing agency, respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>&nbsp;Successful completion of the 3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse (3WBRC) results in a CY endorsement with 3-wheel restriction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who have a Michigan driver\u2019s license will receive a confirmation email from the Secretary of State that contains instructions for applying the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/-\/media\/Project\/Websites\/sos\/01preston\/SOS_OHSP_Motorcycle_Safety_Brochure.pdf?rev=c74b416877114818929f60aa0918e2b5\">motorcycle endorsement<\/a>&nbsp;(CY) to their driver\u2019s license. Most people have the option of completing the process entirely online; however, students who are under the age of 18 and\/or have an out-of-state driver\u2019s license must schedule an in-person appointment with their local branch office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who are under the age of 18 and\/or have an out-of-state driver\u2019s license must also request from their instructor a MSF-branded completion card before class is dismissed. This completion card must be provided, during an in-person appointment with a local branch office, along with the documentation required to apply for a Michigan driver\u2019s obtain a motorcycle (CY) endorsement on their Michigan driver license and have already successfully completed one of the approved out-of-state courses, detailed in the corresponding document, are able to do so by providing the Secretary of State with a valid certificate of completion from the respective course provider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The certificate must include the student&#8217;s name, an authorized signature, and the date of completion (must be one year or less from the date of the endorsement application).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a
