The Project Management Institute’s 2021 survey titled Earning Power: Project Management Salary Survey 12 Edition (2021) indicates the median total compensation for certified Project Management Professionals in the United States is $116,0001.

Our Project Management Professional Exam Preparation class will prepare you to take the new PMP exam, which now includes predictive, agile and hybrid approaches to managing projects. Our course also satisfies the exam eligibility requirement of 35 hours of project management training/education.

About the Instructor

Eric van der Meulen

Eric van der Meulen is an experienced leader in engineering, technology, and R&D. He has broad expertise in plastics application technology and the development of new processes and products, with a strong focus on the innovation process and infrastructure. Eric is a Credentialed Project Management Professional (PMP®), and holds a number of patents in the area of printing on compound surfaces, and other aspects of polycarbonate glazing. His mission with Q’vive is to streamline the intersection of innovation strategy, new product development, and project management.

For what level of project manager is this class intended?

This class is intended to boost the knowledge of the person who:

  • Has been a member of project teams for several years and now wants a position as a project team leader;
  • Is a project leader who wants to improve their skills and gain knowledge of valuable tools;
  • Knows that project management is the direction in which his or her career is headed;
  • Has been thrust into project management and needs a fast-paced, intensive education in the discipline or;
  • Wants to further define and develop project management, team member, or leader skills.
What education and/or work experience is required to sit for the PMP® exam?

Before you apply to take the PMP Exam, you need to meet one of the following sets of requirements:

  • A four-year degree
  • 36 months leading projects
  • 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® Certification
    — OR —
  • A high school diploma or an associate’s degree (or global equivalent)
  • 60 months leading projects
  • 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® Certification
Will there be any job search assistance with this program?

This program does not include a formal job search component. Participants are encouraged to join the local chapter (Great Lakes Chapter) of PMI where job openings are announced at meetings, through networking, and on the Great Lakes Chapter PMI website.
