How do I get a Schoolcraft ID card?<\/summary>

Student ID cards are available to students at the Registration Center at no charge.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Are there study rooms available?<\/summary>
\n

Yes, study rooms are located in the atrium of the library and are available on a first come first serve basis. To use a study room please check at the circulation desk.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

My instructor said there are sample tests\/material I can check out at the Library? Where do I go?<\/summary>
\n

Instructor\u2019s materials are on Reserve at the Circulation Desk. Instructor\u2019s name, course number, and the name of material on reserve is necessary in order to locate the item(s) you wish to use. A Schoolcraft student photo ID is required to check out or to use reserve material. Most reserve material is used in the library and cannot be removed from the library.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A Schoolcraft College student ID or other photo ID for community members.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Does the Schoolcraft Library have all the course textbooks being used by instructors?<\/summary>
\n

The Schoolcraft College Library does not generally purchase textbooks, but double check our Library catalog<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our funds are limited, and purchasing textbooks may preclude the purchase of other important library materials. Some textbooks are also available for student use in the Learning Center (LC)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For information about which books will be used as textbooks, please check the Schoolcraft College Bookstore<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Course Reserves and Textbooks<\/summary>
\n

The Library does not automatically place textbooks on Reserve in the Library. Textbooks and other course materials are put on Reserve at the request of the instructor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty may ask that their personal copies of materials or books owned by the Library be placed on Reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students may also search for Reserve materials by using the Library Catalog<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reserve materials are usually used in the Library only. If the materials you need are not in our Library, the librarian will help explore the availability of other libraries materials with you.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Buying Used and New Textbooks<\/summary>

Textbooks should be purchased from the campus bookstore to be sure that you are purchasing the right materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How many books can I check out?<\/summary>

7 items maximum, some restrictions may apply. For exceptions check with a librarian.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How can I renew my books?<\/summary>
\n

To renew your items before they are due, call (734) 462-4440.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Is there a late fee for overdue books and other Library materials?<\/summary>

The library is fines free. However, replacement fees are charged for any library items that are lost.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Is there a computer lab in the library?<\/summary>

In order to use the library computers, students need a Schoolcraft ID card and\/or a photo ID<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Does the library have a scanner available?<\/summary>

Not officially, however, a scanner is available at the reference desk. Please check with a librarian.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Does the library have a fax machine I can use?<\/summary>

No.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Does the Schoolcraft Library have photocopiers?<\/summary>
\n

Yes, there are two photocopiers available to all patrons. The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. The person using this equipment is responsible for any infringement.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Does the library have a color photocopier?<\/summary>
