Downloading the Installer<\/h2>\n\n\n

Open an internet browser and enter horizon.schoolcraft.edu<\/a><\/strong> into the address box at the top of the browser window. Select the option that says Install VMware Horizon Client<\/strong> (Figure 1)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n

In the proceeding page, select the Go to Downloads<\/strong> button for the MacOS installation of the client (Figure 2)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Select the Download <\/strong>button on the page that follows (Figure 3)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Upon download completion, run the executable. Depending on the Internet browser used, this process will vary.<\/p>\n\n\n

Click on the text within the box in the bottom-left that says VMware-Horizon-\u2026.dmg<\/strong> (Figure 4)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Downloading from Safari<\/h2>\n\n\n

If prompted, select the option that says Allow <\/strong>in the security dialog box that appears (Figure 5)<\/em>. Select the download option again.<\/p>\n\n\n

Select the downloads icon<\/strong> in the upper right-hand corner of the browser window (Figure 6)<\/em>. It is the leftmost icon.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

In the downloads folder, double-click the VMware-Horizo\u2026-********.dmg<\/strong> file to run the installer (Figure 7)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Completing the Installation<\/h2>\n\n\n

Select the Agree <\/strong>option in the EULA (End User License Agreement) that appears (Figure 8)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n

In the appearing installation menu, click and drag the VMware Horizon Client<\/strong> application icon into the Applications <\/strong>folder (Figure 9)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n

The application can now be launched from your applications folder which can be found in the Finder<\/strong> on the left-hand side. Double-click VMware Horizon Client<\/strong> as it appears towards the bottom of the list (Figure 10)<\/em>. Alternatively, the application can be launched from the Launchpad, which can be accessed from the dock spanning across the bottom of the screen.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

Enter horizon.schoolcraft.edu<\/strong> in the proceeding application window and press Connect <\/strong>(Figure 11)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n

You can now use your Schoolcraft-provided credentials to sign into and receive a Schoolcraft desktop.<\/p>\n\n\n
