Fees, including credit by exam fees, are not covered by the grant. Starting Winter 2025 Employee tuition grants will be applied after the first financial aid refund disbursement date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolcraft.edu\/human-resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2026\/04\/Child-Tuition-Authorization-5-22-2025.pdf\">Child Tuition Authorization 5-22-2025 form<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-accordion gb-block-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"gb-accordion-title\">How are employees notified of a College closing?<\/summary><div class=\"gb-accordion-text\">\n<p>The College has an Action Alert Plan in place, which is the system for notifying employees of College closings. Each department maintains necessary information on the Action Alert for that department. Additionally, employees may listen to major metro area radio stations such as WJR or WWJ, local television stations, or may&nbsp;check the website. Generally, facilities management and SCSPA employees are required to work when the College is closed due to inclement weather.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-accordion gb-block-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"gb-accordion-title\">Do part-time employees receive pay for holidays?<\/summary><div class=\"gb-accordion-text\">\n<p>Part time employees working a regular schedule of at least twenty hours per week and at least thirty-six weeks per year will receive pay for the holidays listed below; employees receive holiday pay provided they are normally scheduled to work on the day of the week the holiday falls. Named holidays are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New Year\u2019s Day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Martin Luther King Jr. Day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Memorial Day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Independence Day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Labor Day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thanksgiving Day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Day after Thanksgiving<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Christmas Eve<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Christmas Day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New Year\u2019s Eve<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-accordion gb-block-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"gb-accordion-title\">What do I have to do if I\u2019m called for jury duty?<\/summary><div class=\"gb-accordion-text\">\n<p>If you have been called and report for jury duty, you may be entitled to receive full basic wages for the duration of the jury duty. Complete a Jury Duty Reporting form prior to service and provide it and a copy of the summons to the supervisor, and to human resources. Satisfactory evidence that the jury duty was performed is required following the service.
