Laptop and Hot Spot Loan Resources

Through the generosity of Bosch Corporation and the Schoolcraft Foundation, the Hinkle Student Resource Center can assist students with technology needs through our Laptop and Hot Spot Loan programs. The Laptop and Hot Spot Loan Program provides support to our currently enrolled students who demonstrate financial need and lack the technology necessary to complete their courses successfully. PC laptops are available for students to borrow on a semester-by-semester basis.

To qualify for the program, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Be registered for classes during the semester in which the equipment is requested
  • Be in good financial standing with the college (have a zero balance on their account or be enrolled in a payment plan)
  • Be in good academic standing with the college (have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher)
    • Note: Effective February 2023, students with a cumulative GPA lower than 2.0 may be given provisional consideration for one semester. A 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA would need to be achieved for the semester during which the equipment was issued. 

Interested students need to complete the Laptop and Hot Spot Loan Application.
