Some programs may have specific requirements and requirements may vary from instructor to instructor. Students who do not attend classes and participate regularly will not be successful and may have their Financial Aid impacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"cta-link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolcraft.edu\/records\/attendance-and-participation\/\">Attendance and participation information<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-accordion gb-block-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"gb-accordion-title\">Cancellations and Closures<\/summary><div class=\"gb-accordion-text\">\n<p>We know how important your education is, and we will make every effort to ensure classes are held as scheduled, but please remember:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Some programs\/course may require a minimum number of students enrolled to ensure the learning activities in the class can be accomplished.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The college may change the day, time or location of classes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If an instructor originally scheduled to teach a class becomes unavailable and the college is unable to find another instructor for that class, the college reserves the right to cancel that class.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Classes cancelled on a one-time basis during the semester due to instructor illness can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/my.schoolcraft.edu\/cancellations\">Cancellations and Closings web page<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>College cancellations due to weather or other emergency will be announced via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolcraft.edu\/scpd\/receive-alerts\/\">SC alerts<\/a> and shared on media\/social media. Weather conditions can vary, even over a small geographic area. Credentials are the degrees and certificates that we award to students when they complete all requirements and apply to graduate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the five types of credit bearing credentials, Schoolcraft College has a standard range of credits shown below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Skills Certificate Program (CRT): 16-21 credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certificate Program (1YC): 24-48 credits*<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Associate Degree (AA, AAS, etc.): 60-78 credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Post Associate Certificate (PAC): 9-20 credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bachelor Degree (BS, BA, BAS): Minimum 120 credits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"cta-link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/home.schoolcraft.edu\/college-policies\/credentials\">About credentials<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-accordion gb-block-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"gb-accordion-title\">Credit and Contact Hours<\/summary><div class=\"gb-accordion-text\">\n<p>Credit hours are units used for each course that, when combined, indicate a students\u2019 progress toward graduation. Contact hours for each course more fully represent the amount of time students need to commit in order to learn the content for a course, not including time for homework and study. Each instructor may have a different policy so read your syllabus for each course.
