Brad Stetson is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Schoolcraft College. While studying at the University of Michigan and University of Florida, he focused his studies on combinatorics and graph theory.
Professor Stetson’s work at Schoolcraft College focuses on Distance Learning education. He has developed a number of online math courses and continues to teach courses online on a regular basis. In his face-to-face classroom he likes to integrate technology as a way to supplement instruction whenever possible.
Together with a team from the Distance Learning Department, Professor Stetson has helped to design the professional development series of courses for instructors wishing to teach in Distance Learning or to develop online courses. He also continues to teach these courses for Schoolcraft faculty.
Professor Stetson’s passion for teaching stems from his desire to help students achieve their educational goals that may otherwise be unable to realize them. This passion has been recognized with honors such as Blackboard’s Exemplary Course Program, NISOD Excellence Award, and the John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Award.
