SUMMARY:Coffee and Contracting with Special Guest
DESCRIPTION:Join our Schoolcraft College APEX Accelerator counselors\, as well as other companies\, for an opportunity to discuss government contracting\, procurement assistance\, and other relevant contracting topics. \n\n\n\nThis is a great time for an informal chat session regarding any government contracting related topics that you’d like to talk about!Such as your successes\, contracting problems and concerns\, and things that just seem to be a mystery. \n\n\n\nCome and meet other contractors like yourself\, and bring your questions\, comments\, and your coffee! \n\n\n\nMeet Our Special Guest: \n\n\n\nChristopher R. Preston IIChris serves as a Contracting Officer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers\, bringing over six years of dedicated experience managing military construction and engineering contracts valued under $100M. Known for his mission-focused approach\, Christopher recently spent Fiscal Year 2025 deployed in Kuwait\, where he successfully facilitated the award of critical military projects under $5M. He is deeply committed to bridging the gap between public sector requirements and private sector capabilities to deliver resilient infrastructure. When he isn’t navigating acquisition regulations or securing project awards\, Christopher is an avid traveler on a lifelong quest to find a slice of Detroit-style pizza in any country—a journey that has surprisingly led to pizza discoveries in Brazil and Colombia. \n\n\n\nNo fee\, registration is required. \n\n\n\nRegister Now! \n\n\n\nThis APEX Accelerator is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of War. Additionally\, the Schoolcraft College APEX Accelerator is funded by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and Schoolcraft College.
