Responding To Genocide: Learning From The Holocaust
The Schoolcraft College Office of Equity & Engagement proudly presents a Jewish Heritage Month presentation in collaboration with The Zekelman Holocaust Center. We invite you all to join us for a Virtual discussion.
Genocide, or the targeted extermination of a group of people, became an international crime after the Holocaust.
However, genocide continues to happen around the world.
We will discuss tools and approaches to contemporary genocide prevention, looking at the United States’ responses to the Holocaust and the genocides in Rwanda, Bosnia, and Guatemala. Through deepening your understanding of the Holocaust and its broader lessons, you will be empowered to counter hatred and prejudice today.
