If you register for classes without this form on file, you will be dropped within 3 days for nonpayment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-accordion gb-block-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"gb-accordion-title\">1. Decide What Classes are Right for You<\/summary><div class=\"gb-accordion-text\">\n<p>Meet with your high school counselor\/home school official to determine your eligibility for dual enrollment under the Postsecondary Enrollment Act and obtain assistance with picking out classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Not sure what classes to take?<\/strong>&nbsp;The&nbsp;<a href=\"\/schoolcraft-to-u\/transfer-out\/transfer-guides\/michigan-transfer-agreement-mta\/\">Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA)<\/a>&nbsp;approved general education courses are a good starting point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interested in exploring occupational programs?<\/strong> Check out our list of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolcraft.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/sc-high-school-dual-enrollment-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">suggested courses by major (PDF)<\/a>. Complete New Student Orientation<\/summary><div class=\"gb-accordion-text\">\n<p>All first-time dual enrolled students are&nbsp;required&nbsp;to complete New Student Orientation. This is a self-paced orientation you can complete at any time. The online orientation will familiarize you with academics, campus life, student resources, and next steps. Information in this orientation is presented on the Blackboard Learning Management System, and students will need to use their student login credentials to access it. Pay for Classes<\/summary><div class=\"gb-accordion-text\">\n<p>The<em>&nbsp;Payment Authorization <\/em>and<em> Parent Approval Form<\/em>&nbsp;is what we will use to determine your method of payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students approved for funding (school or MDE pay):&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Payment is not due at the time of registration<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If tuition\/fees exceed the authorized amount, Schoolcraft will invoice the student\/parent(s) after the schedule adjustment period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students not receiving funding (self-pay):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Student\/parent(s) are responsible for payment at time of registration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuition may be paid in installments if you enroll in our <a href=\"\/accounts\/make-payments\/tuition-payment-plan\/\">Tuition Payment Plan<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Opportunities for Dual Enrolled Students:<\/strong><br>There are scholarship opportunities available for dual enrolled students each semester through the generous support of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/scf.schoolcraft.edu\/engage\/scholarships\/apply-for-scholarships\/\">Schoolcraft College Foundation<\/a>. These are for self-paid or school-paid dual enrollment students who have an account balance after their school\/MDE pays. The scholarships are not need-based nor is the FAFSA required. Students may apply at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolcraft.edu\/aid\/types-of-aid\/scholarships\/\">Scholarship Universe<\/a>&nbsp;(will prompt Ocelot Access login) by the deadline. Students must be admitted and actively registered for classes for the semester in which they are applying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We always recommend to review the&nbsp;<a href=\"\/registration\/dates-and-guides\/academic-dates\/\">Academic Important Dates<\/a>&nbsp;that include schedule adjustments dates.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-accordion gb-block-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"gb-accordion-title\">5. Purchase Books<\/summary><div class=\"gb-accordion-text\">\n<p>Students eligible for funding under the Post-Secondary Enrollment Act may have funding available to use towards books.
