CES 7118 - Creative Writing

Work those creative muscles. Explore writing short fiction and/or poetry. Work in both areas or focus on your choice. Each week you'll write a scene of fiction or a poem, based on scheduled assignments. Your typed works will be read and discussed in class, led by your instructor. Poetry assignments include: poems of portrait, persona, object and place. Fiction concentrates on characterization, building conflict, plotting.*
