CES 6400 - Performance Based Motorcycle

Do you know how to ride a motorcycle, but don't have a license? Or, perhaps you have the license but want to brush up on your riding skills? Review and practice the basic riding skills of braking, counter steering, turning, and speed judgement as you tune up your safe riding practices. You will take a riding skills test covering the riding exercises used in the Secretary of State Motorcycle Skills Test. Upon successful completion of this test and course, you will be given a completion card that the Secretary of State recognizes to waive the riding skills test required for a cycle endorsement. If you are under 18 years of age and fail this riding skills test, you must enroll in the 20 hour Extended Practice Basic Rider Course (CES 6660) and pay the $25 fee. You must furnish your own motorcycle with a clutch (no scooters!) and protective gear: DOT-approved helmet, boots that cover the ankle, full-fingered gloves, long pants, long-sleeved jacket or shirt, eye protection and if needed, rain gear. You must provide proof of insurance for the bike, and the bike must pass a safety inspection given by the instructor prior to taking the riding skills test.*
