CES 4285 - Pain Management

Pain is the most common reason people seek medical attention and effective pain management is a challenging task that healthcare professionals face. Despite recent advances in the understanding of pain management, pain is often untreated or under treated. Ongoing assessment of pain is crucial and can be accomplished using various forms and scales. This class will provide an overview of the assessment and management of both acute and chronic pain. Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and other healthcare providers are welcome to attend. This class is worth 8 continuing education hours for nurses. A half-hour lunch is not included in CEU total.*
