If you are a healthcare provider, current nursing/medical-related personnel or student, dietician, diabetic educator or other who is involved with general medical or diabetes-related care, this class is for you. Topics covered: diabetes pathophysiology and past/present understanding/management principles of diabetes care such as: blood glucose monitoring, carbohydrate/meal planning, lifestyle influences, insulin pump therapy, multiple dose insulin therapy, and healthcare provider education/support. This class is worth 6 continuing education contact hours for nurses. A half-hour lunch is not included in CEU total.*
