CES 3626 - Ceramics Iv: Textured Hand-Building

Through demonstrations and individual projects learn the methods and techniques used to design and assemble complex forms. A new project will be presented and demonstrated each class. Methods are applicable to cone 10 through low-fire Raku firing. Techniques include ultra-thin construction, wheel and slab construction, press molds and creating a variety of textures. This unique ceramic art opportunity features a small interactive class environment for greater exploration of techniques. Prerequisite: Ceramics III or equivalent ceramic experience.*
