The Information Storage and Management (ISM) class provides an understanding of the varied components of modern information storage infrastructure needed to make informed decisions in an increasingly complex IT environment. Learn about the architectures, features, and benefits of Intelligent Storage Systems; storage networking technologies such as FC-SAN, NAS, and IP-SAN; long-term archiving solution - CAS; various business continuity solutions such as backup and replication, the increasingly critical area of information security, and the emerging field of storage virtualization and storage resource management. Upon completion of the class, you will be prepared to take the EMC Proven Professional Associate (EMCPA) ISM level certification exam. Textbook is included. One-hour lunch is not included in CEU total. Prerequisite: Must have an understanding of computers, operating systems, networking, and databases. Students with experience in specific segments of storage infrastructure would also be able to fully assimilate the class material. For planning purposes, registrations must be received by September 24th.*
