CES2 1549 - SBIR/STTR 101: Introduction & Overview
The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) are federal grant programs that fund early-stage Research and Development (R&D) projects. SBIR specifically funds projects at small technology companies or with individual entrepreneurs who form a company. STTR funds projects for small businesses working cooperatively with researchers at universities and other research institutions. This half-day workshop covers the SBIR/STTR program basics, including program purpose, eligibility and sources of funding. You will explore the SBIR/STTR program and will be provided enough information to determine if you would like to seriously pursue proposal development.
