University Bound Program
Services
Professional Mentoring
University Bound staff members establish an on-going relationship with students monitoring their progress and providing support. Students may meet as often as they feel necessary with staff during the semester.
Individualized peer tutoring
University Bound students may be eligible to receive individualized tutoring in addition to drop-in tutoring provided by the Learning Assistance Center.
Individualized professional study skills assistance
Students can receive assistance with learning strategies, applying the information to their current classes.
Academic seminars
A variety of seminars are offered during the fall and winter semester and are announced through flyers, cable TV, and email announcements to faculty.
Campus tours
Tours of Wayne State University are offered periodically. Students wanting a tour should contact the University Bound office.
Assistance with transfer questions/paperwork, and procedures for any university
Students can receive help with completing university applications, financial aid forms, contacting appropriate personnel from universities, etc.
