Learn about Schoolcraft's Project Management Professional program on May 1

According to a 2007 PricewaterhouseCoopers survey, eighty percent of high-performing projects use a credentialed project manager.  Project managers have to be great multi-taskers and wear many hats and these skills can be acquired with intensive training.
Schoolcraft College’s Continuing Education and Professional Development department is continuing to offer its successful ten-week, intensive training program that will prepare students to take the Project Management Institute® PMP® or CAPM® certification exam.
On Tuesday, May 1, 2012, Schoolcraft will host a free information session which is open to the public and is intended for individuals who may be interested in project management or are already working as a member of a project management team and would like to advance to a project team leader.  Session attendees will be able to meet the instructor to review class offerings, course curriculum and certification requirements.
According to the Project Management Institute, there are already more than 400,000 PMI credential holders around the world and in every industry, from healthcare, telecommunications and finance to IT and construction.  More and more project management related jobs in today's world require PMP® certification and in today's competitive job market, getting PMP® certified can significantly increase their chances of getting a job. “We are pleased to offer this training as there is a great demand for knowledgeable and certified project managers,” says Jennifer Bodurka, Programming Coordinator.
The Information Session will run from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in the McDowell Building, room 110 on the main campus in Livonia, Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads.
