James Tocco, piano

Pianist James Tocco returns to Schoolcraft for a third consecutive year. Mr. Tocco enjoys a worldwide career as a performer, orchestral soloist, chamber musician and teacher. He has been praised for his interpretations of Beethoven, Chopin and Liszt, as well as 20th-century composers.

Tocco is Eminent Scholar/Artist-in-Residence at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He is a faculty member at the Manhattan School of Music and professor of piano at the Musikhochschule in Lübeck, Germany. He has been Artistic Director of the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival since its founding.
