Louis Nagel has coupled an illustrious performing career with an equally distinguished academic one, having taught at the University of Michigan since 1969. He is currently director of the Theatre & Dance Outreach Program at U-M and advisor to the Bachelor of Musical Arts Degree program.
In demand as a performer, adjudicator, and lecturer, he has appeared in festivals across the United States, given acclaimed New York recitals and has performed in the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. His recital/lectures at Ann Arbor's Kerrytown Concert House are highly popular events. Mr. Nagel also appears frequently in chamber music programs throughout the Metropolitan Detroit area.
