Make plans now to participate in an enjoyable day of golf on Monday, June 1, for the annual Golf Classic Fore Scholarships at Walnut Creek Country Club in South Lyon. The day begins with registration at 10:30 a.m., a delicious buffet lunch in the clubhouse, shotgun start for 18 holes of outstanding golf at 1 p.m. and concludes with a dinner, awards ceremony and silent auction for some wonderful items at 6 p.m.

Golf packages beginning at $250 for individuals. A wide range of sponsorship opportunities, which provide additional promotional benefits, are also available from $350 to $15,000.  Our best value “President’s Club” includes golf for four and sponsorship recognition is available for $1,200.

This year, as the local economy continues to struggle and we hear of more job losses, Schoolcraft College students are facing greater financial burdens and are struggling to support themselves while working toward a college degree or retraining for new job opportunities.  This year, especially, we are seeing the impact of the economic downturn with the increased needs of our students for financial aid. All proceeds from the Golf Classic Fore Scholarships are used to provide scholarships for students through the Schoolcraft College Foundation.
